The new Eastside Kitchen & Bar in Chippendale draws inspiration and is a fusion of dining from many places around the world including Hong Kong, Japan and New York.
Located on the uber trendy Kensington Street precinct, Eastside Kitchen & Bar offers a stylish environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy some great hospitality in a funky, relaxed atmosphere.
The menu at Eastside Kitchen & Bar offers contemporary dishes with a modern twist from a range of cultures to suit all tastes. Tasty starter dishes include chicken karaage with chili & yuzu kewpie, angus beef tartare with pickled beets & rice crisps, and grilled asparagus with chives vinaigrette & burrata to name a few.
On the more substantial side, the grilled cauliflower steak with harissa, chick peas, & toasted hazelnuts is fantastic, or the whiskey-brined berkshire pork loin with home-cured kimchee & polenta definitely hits the spot. The menu is creative and whilst it isn’t overly extensive, the dishes are done very well and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we sampled.
The beverage menu offers cocktails, craft beers and an extensive wine and spirits menu. Pricing is reasonable and there is a great selection of wine to choose from that caters to all budgets.
